Known for a teaching technique that engages students collaboratively in creating film, Scott has taught teen workshops for over ten years adapting his technique to school settings, summer workshop intensives and partnerships with local and national organizations.

The creative need that drove primitive men and women to paint their stories on cave walls is identical to the need that brings people to my filmmaking workshop. Storytelling is one of the central things that identifies us as human. It is at that primal depth that I hope to work with people on their own stories.”
